Lobbies

Lobbies are unranked and you can join or create them yourselves

Up to 64 players, one or many maps, and you pick the maps instead of the server picking them.

Joining

Public lobbies show up in the browser. Private ones are code only, so the host has to give you the code.

Making one

The host picks:

Setting
MapsRanked pool, or custom maps from your own install
Race typePoints, head to head (2 players), or solo
FinishFirst to finish ends the map, or wait for everyone
Finish timer30s, 1m, 2m, 5m, or none, once someone finishes
Max playersup to 64
Replayson or off

Head to head forces 2 players, solo forces 1.

Points

A points lobby follows an F1 style scoreing system for each map by finishing order:

Place1st2nd3rd4th5th6th7th8th9th10th
Points251815121086421

11th and below score nothing. Points add up across every map and the standings are shown at the end.

Multiple maps

Between maps the lobby sits in an intermission until the host starts the next one. The host can also skip the current map. (or room if its a ranked map)

Custom maps

Custom map lobbies need the maps installed, and non whitelisted map mods aren't loaded in Ranked, so playing them takes a restart. See Mods and the whitelist for how that works.
